Installation

The installation of BlizzCMS is a very easy process. You have 2 installation options: The First is to download the zip file, extract it and run composer. The Second option is to clone the source project directly from Gitlab, and then run composer for install needed dependencies.

Check for PHP version

Make sure you have a recommended php version, in this case the recommendation is to have version 7.1.0 or newer. to check it use the following command in your terminal:

$ php -v

This should report the version and build information. For example:

Copyright (c) 1997-2018 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v3.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2018 Zend Technologies

Option 1: Install from ZIP package

The First method to install BlizzCMS is to download the ZIP package, extract it and run a simple command for install dependencies with Composer:

  1. Download the latest BlizzCMS package.
  2. Extract the ZIP file in the webroot of your web server. Example: ~/www/
  3. Launch a terminal or console and execute this:
    cd ~/www
    composer install
  4. Now you can access to your website from your browser to finish the configuration.

Option 2: Install from Gitlab

The second method is to clone BlizzCMS from the Gitlab repository, and then run a simple command for install dependencies with Composer:

  1. Clone the BlizzCMS repository from Gitlab to a folder in the webroot of your server. Example: ~/www/. Launch a terminal or console and navigate to the www folder:
    cd ~/www
    git clone -b master https://gitlab.com/ProjectCMS/BlizzCMSv2.git
  2. Execute composer for install dependencies:
    cd ~/www/blizzcmsv2
    composer install
  3. Now you can access to your website from your browser to finish the configuration.
